Peugeot is a car brand from France, and is a subsidiary of PSA Peugeot Citroën. The family business that started Peugeot today, was founded in 1810, as a manufacturer of coffee and bicycle grinders. On November 20, 1858, Émile Peugeot proposed the use of the lion trademark which is still in use today. In 1889, Armand Peugeot assembled the first Peugeot car, a steam car, with Leon Serpollet, which was then followed by a Panhard-Daimler engine. Due to family conflicts, Armand Peugeot then founded the Société des Automobiles Peugeot in 1896.
